CTJ Places 9 for TMEA All-State Band in 2022

The Claudia Taylor Johnson Band had eight members earn chairs in the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Bands for 2022.

Johnson has had its band members take 51 all-state placements since the beginning of 2019.

Seniors Matthew Blackwell (contrabassoon) and Kaitlyn Hawkins were named to their second TMEA All-State Band.

Sixty-six Johnson band members have earned 101 chairs in the TMEA All-State bands in the school’s 14-year history.
